Game recap: Northwestern High School Football Team takes down North Augusta

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mason Rudolph threw for six touchdowns as Northwestern (Rock Hill, S.C.) upset North Augusta (S.C.) 49-21 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Rudolph to Dupree Hart in the first quarter, the Trojans were up 21-7 at the half.

Northwestern expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. NHS scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return touchdown by Hart.

Rudolph and Hart teamed up to form a great passing pair. Hart caught three touchdowns and Rudolph threw six. Hart has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Rudolph has thrown 53.

The Yellowjackets came in giving up 12.3 points per game this season. North Augusta struggled against Northwestern's offense, which entered the game scoring 40.1 points per game.



The defeat comes as a step back for North Augusta, which notched a 23-10 victory over Beaufort in its previous outing.

In their next matchup the Yellowjackets (12-2) will take on Northwestern in a playoff game. The Trojans go into the week with a record of 14-0.
