Recap: KIPP Collegiate phoenix vs. West Carroll War Eagles
The KIPP Collegiate phoenix's's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 34-28 victory over West Carroll.
Kevin Garret was on fire: he rushed for 239 yards on only ten carries. Nathaniel Coleman did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards.
KIPP Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for West Carroll, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Collegiate will face off against Trezevant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Carroll, they will head out on the road to face off against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McKenzie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 257 points over their last five matches.
