Soccer Recap: Perquimans Comes Up Short

Perquimans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cape Hatteras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in September.

Perquimans' goal came courtesy of Bartosz Walachowski, who's now up to 13 this season.

Perquimans' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Cape Hatteras, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Perquimans wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Gates County on the 13th. As for Cape Hatteras, they have also already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Mattamuskeet on the 16th.
