Basketball Game Preview: Buford Yellow Jackets vs. Providence Classical Paladins

The Buford Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to challenge the Providence Classical Paladins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Buford took a blow against Andrew Jackson, falling 75-24. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Volunteers are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, Providence Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 49-34 bruising from Buford. The Paladins were down 41-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Buford's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Providence Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Buford strolled past Providence Classical when the teams last played on Friday by a score of 49-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
