Basketball Recap: Friday Harbor Takes a Loss

Friday Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forks Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Spartans are ranked 79th).

When it comes to explaining why Friday Harbor lost, don't look at Pierce Kleine. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points. Kleine's afternoon made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Feliz, who put up seven points.

Friday Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Forks, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Friday Harbor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-50 loss against Granite Falls on the 4th. Forks has also already played their next matchup, a 50-33 win against Ilwaco on the 3rd.
