It was a good run, but Pearce unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Richardson Eagles, falling 59-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-38 back in December of 2024.

Pearce's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11. As for Richardson, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-11.

Pearce and Richardson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Pearce will take on MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 801 places (289 vs. 1090). Similarly, Richardson (ranked 213th) will meet Lake Highlands (ranked 619th) at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
