Volleyball Game Preview: Addison Trail Blazers vs. Larkin Royals

The Addison Trail Blazers will challenge the Larkin Royals at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Larkin took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Addison Trail, who comes in off a win.

Addison Trail took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Proviso West 2-1.

Addison Trail had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Larkin's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to Hinsdale South.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10.

Addison Trail's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Larkin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Addison Trail was able to grind out a solid victory over Larkin in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Blazers repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
