Preview: Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. North Charleston Cougars
The Baptist Hill Bobcats will be home for the holidays to greet the North Charleston Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Baptist Hill took a serious blow against Porter-Gaud, falling 51-21. Baptist Hill has struggled against Porter-Gaud recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Shaniya Gathers , who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Sharice Blufton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to North Charleston, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell 46-39 to Colleton County on Wednesday.
Baptist Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for North Charleston, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Baptist Hill beat North Charleston 40-28 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will Baptist Hill repeat their success, or does North Charleston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
