Basketball Game Preview: Pine Ridge Thorpes vs. Marty Indian Braves

The Pine Ridge Thorpes will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Marty Indian Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pine Ridge is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Jones County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyotes.

Meanwhile, Marty Indian can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game back in December of 2024. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 46-44 win from a begrudging Braves squad.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Marty Indian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Pine Ridge ended up a good deal behind Marty Indian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 68-52. Can Pine Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
