Volleyball Recap: Sidney Red Raiders vs. Gering Bulldogs
Sidney was the 2-0 winner over Gering when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Reagan Nesbitt paced Sidney's offense, picking up five kills. Nesbitt got some help from Taylor Sprenger and her six assists. Laramey Misegadis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Gering found their leader in freshman Adriana Canales, who had 17 digs.
Sidney now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Gering, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.
Sidney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ogallala on the 13th. Gering has also already played their next matchup (against Gordon-Rushville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
