Wesleyan Christian Academy had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Greensboro Day School Bengals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Wesleyan Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 28-26.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was led to victory by Adele Veach and Lucy Gonzalez. Veach had 15 digs, while Gonzalez had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Gonzalez has posted over her last six matches.

They weren't the only good server: Wesleyan Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in ten consecutive games.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's record is now 12-1. As for Greensboro Day School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wesleyan Christian Academy and Greensboro Day School will both be playing High Point Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Bengals will host the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
