Softball Recap: Stearns Comes Up Short

Stearns fell victim to Penobscot Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Howlers. The Minutemen have struggled against the Howlers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Stearns' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Penobscot Valley, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, Stearns will take on Lee Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Minutemen are facing the Pandas at the right time seeing as the Pandas are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Penobscot Valley, they will challenge Schenck at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Howlers surely won't give up without a fight.
