Volleyball Game Preview: Chicago Marshall Commandos vs. North Lawndale Phoenix

The Chicago Marshall Commandos will face off against the North Lawndale Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chicago Marshall will be strutting in after a victory while North Lawndale will be coming in after a defeat.

Chicago Marshall will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Marine Leadership Academy, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Commandos walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs on Friday.

Chicago Marshall not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Marine Leadership Academy between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, North Lawndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Perspectives-IIT/Joslin.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12.

North Lawndale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Chicago Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
