After soaring to a 40-point victory in their last game, Bluegrass United came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of Garrard County by a score of 62-60. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bluegrass United in their matchups with Garrard County: they've now lost four in a row.
Bluegrass United might have lost, but man, Caleb Burnett was a machine: he scored 30 points along with five steals. Burnett is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy King, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Nicholas County dropped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bluegrass United, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
