Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Weber over Farmington

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lehi, Weber was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 35-31 victory over the Farmington Phoenix. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.

DYSON PARKER had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 199 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. TY HELLMANN was in the mix too, providing Weber with one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Weber was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Farmington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Love, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Will Peterson was another key player, throwing for 243 yards and one TD.

Weber has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.3 points over those games. As for Farmington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Weber will be playing at home against Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.83 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Farmington, they are taking a road trip to take on Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Phoenix will need to watch out since the Silverwolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
