            Baseball Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. Farmington Phoenix        
        
		
        
        
            The Lone Peak Knights will head out to  square off against the Farmington Phoenix  at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Farmington took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lone Peak, who comes in off a win.
While Knights fans will have to keep waiting for their  team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's  season opener. They walked away with  a   7-2  victory over Weber  on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Grady Slesk made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Andrew Ladd, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bowen Barnes, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Lone Peak  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber only posted  an  OBP of  .333.
Meanwhile, Farmington lost  18-3 to Viewmont on Monday. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
  Camden Preston made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Everything went Lone Peak's way against Farmington in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, as Lone Peak made off with  a  12-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lone Peak since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
