Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Indians vs. Port Jervis Raiders

The Liberty Indians will take on the Port Jervis Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-17, which was the final score in Liberty's tilt against Beacon on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 671st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Port Jervis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They took down Fallsburg 37-23 on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Port Jervis now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
