Baseball Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

If Carrollton was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Alliance on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Marlington Dukes by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Carrollton's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Marlington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Carrollton will square off against West Holmes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marlington, they will challenge Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
