Baseball Game Preview: Sequim Wolves vs. Forks Spartans

The Sequim Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Forks Spartans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sequim will be strutting in after a victory while Forks will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Sequim needed a bit of extra time to put away North Kitsap. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Vikings. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Vikings on their field since April 19, 2018.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Forks' offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Ilwaco, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans have struggled against the Fishermen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Sequim's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Forks, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Sequim took their win against Forks in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
