Football Recap: Otay Ranch Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Otay Ranch's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Chula Vista Spartans get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Caleb Delaughter threw for 69 yards on six of 14 attempts. On the ground, Darius Hawkins rushed for 37 yards.

Otay Ranch pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chula Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Otay Ranch will head out on the road to square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Warhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chula Vista, they will host Mar Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Mariners have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
