Soccer Game Preview: Paramount vs. Lynwood

The Paramount Pirates will square off against the Lynwood Knights at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Paramount's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Lynwood has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Last Thursday, Paramount didn't have quite enough to beat Warren and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pirates came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Bears are ranked 485th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November of 2024, Lynwood was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor Bellflower could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lynwood's draw makes their record 3-6-2 this season. As for Paramount, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1.
