Volleyball Recap: Marshall Lions vs. Mt. Carmel Golden Aces
Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.
Mt. Carmel can attribute much of their success to Tenley Davis, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Davis has posted since two weeks ago.
Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mt. Carmel, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.
Marshall will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Edwards County at 9:00 a.m. Edwards County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marshall surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Carmel, they will head out to square off against Cisne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
