Softball Recap: Pleasure Ridge Park Comes Up Short

If Pleasure Ridge Park was feeling good fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Presentation last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasure Ridge Park lost 14-5 to the Cooper Jaguars on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Catherine Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kendra Lee was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pleasure Ridge Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cooper, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Pleasure Ridge Park will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Atherton at 6:00 p.m. As for Cooper, they will take on Male at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Male will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight.
