Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Livingston

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Liberty face off against the Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Liberty will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Hargrave, who they had gone 1-6 against in their nine prior meetings. Liberty's defense stepped up to hand Hargrave a 1-0 shutout on Friday.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was East Chambers who was credited with the win on Friday. East Chambers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Livingston's three. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 144th).

Livingston has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
