Volleyball Recap: Shoals' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Shoals unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loogootee Lions. The Jug Rox were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Rylee Bauer paced Shoals' offense, picking up six kills. Bauer really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine.

Jocelynn Sims was a one-woman wrecking crew For Loogootee. as she had 13 digs and five aces. Sims is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Loogootee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Shoals has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Corydon Central on the 6th. As for Loogootee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Borden on the 6th.
