Football Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

The matchup between Indio and Twentynine Palms on Thursday hardly resembled the 14-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Rajahs took a 44-25 bruising from the Wildcats. Rajahs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Thursday.

Twentynine Palms found their leader in sophomore Josh Reynoso, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 97 yards and one TD. Those 137 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Reynoso.

Indio is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Twentynine Palms, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
