Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy Knights vs. Heyworth Hornets

The Calvary Christian Academy Knights and the Heyworth Hornets will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvary Christian Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Calvary Christian Academy managed to keep up with Arthur-Okaw Christian until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Calvary Christian Academy came up short against Arthur-Okaw Christian, falling 46-23. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 527th, while the Conquering Riders are ranked 247th).

Meanwhile, Heyworth lost to Fieldcrest on the road by a 51-34 margin on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.

Heyworth's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Calvary Christian Academy came up short against Heyworth in their previous matchup back in February, falling 29-19. Can Calvary Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
