Softball Recap: Fairfax Takes a Loss

Fairfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Palisades Dolphins, falling 18-8. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Dolphins from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Yasmin Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Keithsy Segura was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Fairfax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Palisades, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Fairfax will head out on the road to square off against Venice at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palisades, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westchester at 3:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
