Basketball Recap: Sharpstown Takes a Loss

Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westbury Huskies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apollos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-43 back in December of 2024.

Westbury found their leader in freshman Ibrahim Allim, who posted 12 points and three blocks. That's the most points Allim has posted since back in November of 2024.

Sharpstown's record now sits at 1-17. As for Westbury, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Sharpstown has already played their next match (against Austin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westbury has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Galena Park.
