Basketball Recap: Pompano Beach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pompano Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Everglades Gators and fell 84-38. If the Golden Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 84-38 to the Gators when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Everglades' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Lawson led the charge by going 6-for-8 to rack up 13 points. Tristen Welsh was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Pompano Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Everglades, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Pompano Beach will be playing in front of their home fans against Piper at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Everglades, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-38 win against Taravella on the 8th.
