Jamie Brooks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7-for-9 en route to 18 points and six boards. The match was his third in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Bellamy, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points and three steals.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Bridges Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Timberland on Tuesday, taking the game 51-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy better keep an eye on Q Young. He was instrumental in Bridges Prep's win, dropping a triple-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. Young has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 24 times he's played. Another player making a difference was C Arroyo, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.9 points. As for Bridges Prep, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Atlantic Collegiate Academy just can't miss this season, having made 63.9% of their field goals per game. However, it's not like Bridges Prep struggles in that department as they've nailed 66.8% of their shots this season.
