Baseball Recap: Whitefield Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fern Creek last Monday, Whitefield Academy came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Bullitt East Chargers on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 21-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Braden Schwartz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Bullitt East, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3-1.

Coming up, Whitefield Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Portland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bullitt East, they will head out to square off against Male at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
