It was a good run, but Chisum unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 7-4 to the Mount Vernon Tigers. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chisum's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Chisum will host Tom Bean at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tomcats have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Mount Vernon, they will face off against Prairiland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
