Baseball Recap: Smith Academy Takes a Loss

Smith Academy lost against Franklin County Tech back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons lost 8-1 to the Eagles. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Smith Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garret Willard, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Smith Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Franklin County Tech, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Smith Academy will head out to face off against Mahar Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin County Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lenox Memorial at 4:00 p.m.
