Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel was the 2-1 winner over Cisne when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Aces fell just short of the Runnin' Lions by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mt. Carmel sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.

Maycee Randall paced Mt. Carmel's offense, picking up eight kills. Randall got some help from Gabby Schneider and her 12 assists. Randall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cisne, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Robinson on the 18th. As for Cisne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Woodlawn on the 16th.
