Baseball Recap: Ludlowe Beats Danbury for Their Third Straight Win

Ludlowe extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 5-3 in the process. They blew past the Danbury Hatters 8-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Luke Stasko looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Ludlowe let Joe Calabro and Dylan Davis run wild. Calabro went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Davis went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Calabro has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Scruggs, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Danbury, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly seven runs.

On Danbury's side, Finn Cline was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Danbury saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Mariano, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
