Capistrano Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reed Hitzler, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Hitzler a new career-high.

Capistrano Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6-1. As for Dana Hills, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 6-8-1.

As for Dana Hills, they will challenge Trabuco Hills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Trabuco Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so Dana Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
