Last Monday, Crosspoint Christian took a serious blow against Mississippi Valley Christian, falling 67-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crosspoint Christian in their matchups with Mississippi Valley Christian: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Thomas Jefferson School beat Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis 41-37 on Friday.
Thomas Jefferson School can attribute much of their success to Sandy Wan, who scored 17 points, and Ben Cashen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Cashen is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Albano, who scored ten points.
Crosspoint Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Thomas Jefferson School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Crosspoint Christian beat Thomas Jefferson School 45-32 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Cashen, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
