Softball Recap: De Soto Comes Up Short

If De Soto was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of La Farge on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

De Soto saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sascha Doll, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Sylvia Krueger also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

De Soto now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Cashton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither De Soto nor Cashton have any future games scheduled.
