Baseball Recap: Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization Gets the Win

After losing to Varsity Opponent the last time they met, Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 6-2 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Daniel Potnick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Case Kinsala, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Dustin Trombley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
