Softball Recap: Platt Comes Up Short

Platt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Plainville Blue Devils, falling 24-6. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adrienne McDonald was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Danerys Mosquea also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Platt's record now sits at 2-16. As for Plainville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Platt will square off against Maloney at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Plainville, they will face off against Southington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Knights have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
