Softball Recap: Clinton Beats Castlewood for Their Third Straight Win

Clinton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Castlewood Blue Devils a 9-0 shutout. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for Castlewood, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Cookeville on the 29th. As for Castlewood, they will face off against Holston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
