Volleyball Recap: Friona Wins Going Away Against Clovis

Friona won the last time they faced Clovis and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chieftans put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chieftans.

Friona never let Clovis on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 27-25.

Friona's victory bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Clovis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Friona will head out to face off against Dimmitt at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clovis, they will venture away from home to take on Lovington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
