Basketball Recap: Donahue Catholic Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Donahue Catholic had won four straight games and Veronica Halisky did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Donahue Catholic Shamrocks breezed by the Marco Island Academy Rays to the tune of 56-18 thanks in part to Halisky, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Camille Kelly was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points in addition to six assists and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Donahue Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Marco Island Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Donahue Catholic will face off against Babcock on Thursday. Donahue Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season. Marco Island Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
