Baseball Recap: Montour Gets the Win

On Sunday, the Montour Spartans made easy work of the St. Raymond Boys Ravens and carried off a 16-2 win.

Gavin Foley looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matteo Weber, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryan Gamble, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one triple.

Montour's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Montour and St. Raymond Boys will both be playing DePaul College Prep the next time they take the field. Montour will head out to face DePaul College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, while St. Raymond Boys will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
