Volleyball Recap: Miller Career Academy Comes Up Short

Miller Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the St. Pius X Lancers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-4, 25-8.

Elena Ruble went supernova For St. Pius X., getting six aces and three digs. Ruble is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 67 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Harper Gass, who had five aces and two assists.

Miller Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Pius X, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Miller Career Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Pius X, they will square off against Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
