Baseball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Takes a Loss

Dawson-Bryant lost against Ironton back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hornets lost 12-2 to the Fighting Tigers.

Dawson-Bryant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Bloomfield, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI was Bloomfield's first of the season.

Dawson-Bryant has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season. As for Ironton, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dawson-Bryant will face off against rival Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ironton is set to challenge their familiar foe Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
