Baseball Game Preview: Rejoice Christian Eagles vs. Coalgate Wildcats

The Rejoice Christian Eagles will face off against the Coalgate Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Rejoice Christian barely beat Pawhuska the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Huskies on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Coalgate entered their tilt with Konawa on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-6 win.

Easton Loudermilk was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Coalgate is undefeated when Loudermilk posts three or more RBI, but 12-14 otherwise. Easton Wilkinson was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Rejoice Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Coalgate, they pushed their record up to 15-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
