Basketball Recap: Central Noble Falls to Woodlan in First Game of Season

Central Noble had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodlan Warriors. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Woodlan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathaniel Peters, who went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points. Keaton Delagrange was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Woodlan's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Central Noble has already played their next game (against South Adams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodlan also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Bellmont.
