Everett came tearing into Thursday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the McConnellsburg Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Everett was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (97-96), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 27-25, 27-25.

Nya Debolt paced Everett's offense, picking up 13 kills. Debolt got some help from Laynee Cornell and her 18 assists. Finally, Brooke Hillegas kept Everett's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Everett's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for McConnellsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4-1.

Coming up, Everett will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fannett Metal at 7:00 p.m. As for McConnellsburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Southern Huntingdon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
